Student-led Enterprise

Our premier program, in operation since 2017, Next Gen Ventures,  is all about supporting  student-led enterprises in Ventura County. Currently, we're working with six businesses run by students across four school districts. These student business span the gamut, from  product manufacturing, agriculture, to professional services.

We provide our next-gen ventures with back-office support, cover losses if needed, and even offer paid student internships. Foundry805 makes real-world entrepreneurial learning possible. 

  • RC Makes

    Services include an online store selling wares made by students, a community makerspace, a build-to-spec job shop for individual and business customers, expanded learning programs for incoming and current high school students, video production, software development and graphic design.

  • DTECH

    DTECH students create a variety of custom products, including made-to-order spirit gear. Beginning in December, student-designed products will be available in the Downtown Ventura Marketplace.

  • DMS Solutions

    Comprised of graphic design, entrepreneur and engineering students working together in an entrepreneurial capacity from Santa Susana Magnet High School, students do everything, from laser-engraved wood products, custom jewelry and apparel, 3D-printed items, etc. They also do custom orders under our buyer's discretion, with competitive prices and great service.

  • Ojai Makers

    The Ojai Makers can be found at Thursday Farmers Market selling produce such as organic mushrooms and tomatoes, as well as providing eco-friendly refillable soaps and detergents.

  • BATA Designs

    BATA design students can design and produce custom logos, shirts and other designs.

  • Rio Mesa Chop Shop

    In its first year of operation, the Chop Shop at Rio Mesa is designing custom wood products for sale, including cutting boards and chess sets.
